Alyssa Rickett

After 12 years of suffering and 2 years of feeling like I may literally be dying (no exaggeration), I decided I was done with Crohns disease--and medication (aka bandaids) for this disease. I created this page to allow others to follow my journey to health the natural way; as well as provide inspiration, information, and entertainment for others who may be suffering from digestive diseases like me, or are just curious.  I also suffer from moderate-severe Tourette's Syndrome, but this page takes a focus on the Crohns aspect of my life. Find out more about my story with Crohns here.

I LOVE food and flavors and cooking, so finding new ways to make things healthy and also delicious has been a fun (and somewhat difficult) adventure.

My main job is wife to Dane and mom of two preschoolers, and somewhere in between I find time to take care of myself (and do this blog!) too.  Even though I'm "JUST" a stay-at-home mom right now, life it NUTS.

Other things I love: crafting, sewing, dancing, getting dolled up (which is rare these days), working out, being outdoors, making people laugh, laughing, hanging out with my kids and husband, and either having a crazy, loud blast with a group of friends OR being a complete hermit-sloth at home by myself.  I'm a bit quirky and awkward, but totally blame it on the fact that my life is more consumed by preschool-aged people than adult ones.

I hope you enjoy, and would love your feedback on things you would like to see or ways I could improve this blog!  Thank you for your following and support! <3
